World Day of Prayer for Vocations April 20-21

April 20 - April 21

The World Day of Prayer for Vocations is observed globally on the Fourth Sunday of Easter, which is also known as Good Shepherd Sunday. This significant day invites Catholics to promote vocations to the priestly, religious, and consecrated life. It’s a time to offer special prayers for those who feel called to serve in these sacred roles.

On this day, we remember the Lord’s instruction to “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:38; Luke 10:2). It’s a beautiful opportunity to reflect on the importance of vocations and to support those who are discerning their call to serve God and His people.

Let us join together in prayer, asking for God’s guidance and blessings upon those who dedicate their lives to spreading His love and truth.
